About The Exploited
The Exploited are a Scottish punk band formed in 1979 in Edinburgh. Their style blends street punk, oi!, hardcore punk and crossover thrash, with fiercely political, confrontational lyrics. Popular tracks include “Punks Not Dead,” “Sex & Violence,” “UK 82,” “Fuck the USA,” and “Beat the Bastards.” Their most recent studio album is 2003’s “Fuck the System,” though in late 2023 they released a new single “We Awake.” Frontman Wattie Buchan remains the driving force. The band are well-known for their anarchist ethos, raw live shows, and lasting influence in UK punk.
